A potato can take up a lot of water from its environment.
Water uptake is essential not only for plants but also for animals.

*  Left: Weigh an egg, ask an adult to remove its shell:
    The egg must be dipped into hydrochloric acid (10%), washed under water to remove
    the foam and dipped again (left photo) Rubber gloves are needed.
 * Middle: Carefully take such an egg, reweigh it.
*  Keep it in a container with water until there is no more increase in weight.
