air07 Water vapour can become DIRECTLY solid without being liquid,  ice DIRECTLY gaseous

Material: Glove, ampoule, balloon, thermos bottle with liquid nitrogen, graph paper, pencil, thermometer, thin ice layer in a deep-freeze.
Experiment:
1. Transfer liquid nitrogen into an ampoule, close it by a balloon.
2. Trace the outline of a flat ice layer on a sheet of graph paper. Keep it in an a deep-freeze for some days.
Observations:
1. An enormous increase of volume during evapoation of liqid nitrogen.
2. The surface of the ampoule covers with a thick layer of hoarfrost that melts later on leaving water.
Explanations:
look for Sublimation, Resublimation and next experiment.
