activities are offered. In each one you will find 5-mL vials with
warmed dye solutions, “multifibers 6” and pieces of pure cotton or
wool.
What

Dyes:
Acid Blue 25 = Eosin Y (AB),
Acid Red 87 (AR),
Indigo Vat Blue 1 (IV),
ID Stain # 1 (ID1), ID Stain # 3a (ID3).
Fibres:
MULTIFIBRE
6 (Testfabrics Inc.), pieces
of pure cotton, wool gabardine.

5 and 50 ml, Leukosilk as lables, tweezers, tissue paper, straw spatula,
3 hot plates.

1 and 2: Multifibre 6 -composed of 6 different fibres (Cellulose
triacetate, cotton, nylon, polyester, polyacryl, wool)- is cut into
5 test stripes (9 x 55 mm).
